The Duke...

Mr.Atos

Well, well, well,
N.C. panel disbars Duke prosecutor,

RALEIGH, N.C. - District Attorney Mike Nifong was disbarred Saturday for his "selfish" rape prosecution of three Duke University lacrosse players — a politically motivated act, his judges said, that he inexplicably allowed to fester for months after it was clear the defendants were innocent.

"This matter has been a fiasco. There's no doubt about it," said F. Lane Williamson, the chairman of the three-member disciplinary committee that stripped the veteran prosecutor of his state law license.

Once again we see that popular 'truth' is in the eye of the besmircher!

Ultimately facts, however, have a funny way of deposing 'truth!'

Mr. Atos---Please, let's try to get our terms straight. Truth is truth, truth is constant, truth fears no trial, fears no question. Truth is what actually happened. Truth does not change because it is, or is not, believed by a majority of the people.

On the other hand, reality is simply agreement, possibly false, of what happened. The media dishes reality, not truth.

Surely you meant, "Once again we see that popular 'reality' is in the eye of the besmircher!

Ultimately facts, however, have a funny way of deposing 'reality!'

As we both know, truth is seldom popular and truth can never be deposed.

On the subject of Nifong, it's an interesting distraction and it's good that he's been disciplined but, ultimately, the greatest crimes related to the Duke scandal were committed by the lying accuser and the media neither of whom have been disciplined. And, of course, the viewing public, is guilty of ambivalence, sloth and cowardice.

Racism is clearly evident. Three white men were accused of raping a black woman. The story went international. The story remains on the front page.

You may have but you probably haven't and that's because mainstream news blackouts are implemented for most stories of black on white crime. Even when the stories are sensationally gruesome. The mainstream media is very racist.

Did you hear the story about Don Imus persecuting and "scarring for life" the Rutgers women's basketball team? You betcha!

Did you hear about Paris Hilton being let out of jail with Big Al Sharpton fast on the seen to pronounce the injustice and racist double-standard? You betcha!

Who runs the media? Who creates the "reality" for the majority of Americans who lack the spine to inform themselves rather than being spoon-fed propaganda by their high definition sludge pumps? Who owns the media?

Mr. Atos, I'm glad you can distinguish truth from reality but I hope you try harder to identify unreported divergence between truth and reality. Ponder 9/11. Ponder Apollo. Ponder the holocaust. Ponder the USS Liberty. Ponder WMDs. Ponder Iran. Question everything. Question authority. When the alleged President says in your face, “Let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories concerning the attacks of September the 11th” but expects you to swallow the bile of 19 boxcutter-wielding poor pilots 100% successful in hijacking four planes and 75% successful in hitting their targets, I think you know what to do. Do not yield to the bad but always oppose it with courage.

It's not too unpleasant over here having swallowed the red pill. It's a bit frustrating. It's kind of lonely. But it's endurable. Sometimes it's funny but sometimes its' sad(MM) observing those still plugged into the Matrix. You have to remain philosophical about it or you’ll either go crazy, postal or both. My greatest hope is that the necessary nucleus of a force of twelve men eventually forms that forces truth into the forefront of American’s perception. I want everybody in America tripping on red pills.

Morpheus to Neo: “The Matrix is a system Neo. That system is our enemy but when you’re inside you look around and what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters, the very minds of the people we’re trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. If you are not one of us, you are one of them.

You have to understand most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them (MM?) are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it. Were you listening to me? Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?

I still can’t believe that almost perfect metaphor of a movie was made in 1999 before 9/11. The Zionist media masters must have missed the potential parallels.

If you haven't read this, you probably should.

The part about the senior officer refusing to look at the photos General Taguba asked him to view because he feared what he would have to do with the information he then had reminds me much of the attitudes of the cowards on this blog. Remember, keep repeating it over and over:

it was 19 Arabs with boxcutters!

it was 19 Arabs with boxcutters!

it was 19 Arabs with boxcutters!

Neil,

I read the entirety of the Hersh piece, Tuguba got chewed up in General-grade politics; such is life for those in the rarified air. What happened to him came as no surprise to him either, as a MajGen, ROTC type, he probably got the ranks closed on him by a bunch of self-serving ring knockers. This will surprise no one that has served. They higher you go the more politics are played, and Taguba cooperating with Hersh is simply an effort by him to rehabilitate his reputation to the general public. I am sure he is an honorable man, who did an honorable investigation, but the results are not surprising from a military staff gamesmanship view.

After that the Hersh piece boils down to a who-knew-what-when who-done-it which isn't particularly interesting to me. Show me the paper, and if it existed it would be available, that shows that Rumsfeld specifically authorized torture at Abu Ghraib, and I'll jump on the CIA-Rummy conspiracy bandwagon.

Until then, those that committed the actual misconduct in Abu Ghraib should be continued to be prosecuted as appropriate, but the "forced" retirement of a sympathetic MajGen does not a conspiracy make. MM
