Atos' Anniversary

Stepping away for a day to concentrate on things more significant, allow me to share with you this brief tribute to the finest lady on Earth. On this day, some years back, my fetching Juliet captured this heart for keeps. In reality, she grabbed hold of it the first time I ever laid eyes on her strolling my way across Main Street in this very city, nearly 8 years ago. So much has happened since then... yet, all it seems, in the blink of an eye.

Typically April 7th is spent cutting powder down the Miracle Mile. Inevitably, we fall exhausted along the wind-ripped slope and lay for a while staring south together down the line of volcanic peaks of the Southern Cascades silently considering the years that started there one frigid day in April. Tonight will be both different and yet the same, as we gaze at one another across the morsels of our years in pleasant recollection of all that we've shared and all that we've learned... and the things we have created.

There is truly no relationship more glorious than marriage... the perfect balance of the two aspects of humanity that sees us joined along a path that restores unity in the divine for all creation.
